SHOULD YOU KNOW THE LEVEL OF COPPER IN YOUR DOG'S FOOD?

If you are a pet parent of a Labrador Retriever, Westie, Doberman Pinscher, or Dalmatian it is important to know as they are at risk for Copper Associated Hepatitis (CAH) or copper storage disease. A recent study from the Journal of Internal Veterinary Medicine indicates that "CAH has been increasingly recognized in dogs, and speculation exists that hereditary defects in copper metabolism have been exacerbated by increased environmental copper exposure."
