Every dog is unique, and so is their poop! What your dog’s standard of healthy, normal poop looks like might be slightly different than the dog’s next door, based on a variety of factors. But in general, healthy dog poop should be the color of chocolate brown, shaped like logs that maintain their form, while being compact, moist, and easy to pick up. It’s good to keep tabs on your dog’s personal poop habits and define what’s “normal” for him/her, that way you can more easily determine when there are any changes that may need your or your vet’s attention.
