Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup of cubed watermelon (seedless and/or remove the seeds)
  • 1/2 cup of organic blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of filtered water
  • 4 medium-sized mint leaves

Equipment:

  • Ice cube tray or popsicle mold (no sticks)
  • Slicing knife
  • Blender*

*Don't have a blender? Use filtered water or plain chamomile tea (cooled) instead of blended fruit as your base!

Instructions:

  1. Set a few cubes of watermelon with no seeds (three or four cubes) and a small handful of blueberries to include whole in the treats. Slice watermelon cubes into smaller pieces and halve the blueberries. Leave smaller blueberries whole if desired!
  2.  Blend 3/4 of the watermelon left over with about 1/4 cup of filtered water into a smooth, liquid consistency.
  3. Fill half of your ice cube tray with this watermelon-only mixture. Each cavity should be filled about 3/4 to the rim to allow room for whole-fruit inclusions.
  4. Blend the remainder of the watermelon cubes with the rest of your blueberries and 1/4 cup of filtered water into a smooth, liquid consistency.
  5. Pour the blueberry-watermelon mixture into the remainder of the ice cube cavities in your tray. Remember, leave room in each cavity for the watermelon, blueberry, and mint slices you have set aside!
  6. Finally! Place slices of blueberries, watermelon, and chopped mint into each soon-to-be icey treat!
  7. Freeze for 6 hours or until solid.
  8. Be sure to supervise your pup while they enjoy these cooling 'pup'sicles and serve outdoors to avoid staining your home pink and purple!
